Nate Smith

Although I was born in Oregon, I grew up in Michigan after moving here when I was just a few years old. I started my career in the insurance industry in 2013 at a different company, where I obtained my personal lines licenses. In 2016, I moved to a customer service position at Nathan Smith State Farm. My role at our office focuses on customer care and support, as well as billing questions/concerns. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, riding my bike, and spending time with family!

I grew up in Hudsonville and still reside there. I graduated from Unity in 2009 before beginning my career in the insurance industry. At Nathan Smith State Farm, I focus on Life, health, Auto, and Home Insurance. I have a dachshund named Dash and am currently in the process of purchasing a home in West Michigan. My family has adopted four girls from China and I love being “Uncle Coty” to my niece and nephew in Jenison. You might see me on my bike cruising down the lake shore!

I grew up in Bloomington, Illinois, the home of State Farm! I moved to West Michigan in 2017 to attend Grand Valley State University. After graduating in 2021 with a B.A in Advertising/Public Relations, I decided to stay in West MI because it felt like home. I began a career in banking and decided to switch to the insurance industry in February of 2023. I am passionate about educating our community on insurance needs and helping with financial services. At Nathan Smith State Farm, I focus on Auto, Home, Life, and of course Pet Insurance. I have 4 pets who are my world. A Corgi named Reese, a Morkie mix named Jasper, Monte the black cat, and Stevie Nicks the calico kitten. In my free time, I love to spend time with family, explore new restaurants, shop, and travel with my fiancé Joelle and our 2 boys, Reese and Jasper.
